Anime Goddess, Alodia Gosiengfiao, Brisbane Bound!

As the excitement builds for the Supanova Cosplay Festival featuring the Madman National Cosplay Championships we’re Supa-chuffed to announce another very special Supa-Star guest, Alodia Gosiengfiao!

Recognised as one of the world’s best, hardest working and most respected cosplayers and having been voted as one of the most influential people in her home country of the Phillipines by UNO Magazine, Alodia has been a powerhouse in cosplay circles worldwide and has been asked to judge some of the largest and most prestigious of international cosplay competitions. Her popularity began in 2003 when she won her first Cosplay competition at the C3 Convention and has skyrocketed from there.

Now Supanova is being added to her list of credentials and we are totally jazzed that Alodia will be casting her eagle eye over the contestants as our SUPA-STAR GUEST JUDGE for the finals of the Madman National Cosplay Championship. We also can’t wait to see what sort of creations she has in store for us and Alodia will also be doing a panel plus signing autographs/taking photos with her fans.

Alodia rounds out what’s already an action-packed schedule including an “on the day” Madman Cosplay Comp, an array of vendors, an artist alley, anime screenings and of course, an appearance by our already announced Vampire Knight voice-actor and Supa-star special guest, Stephanie Sheh! Stephanie has also voiced characters in awesome animes like FLCL, Bleach and Naruto. Her Q&A is a fantastic addition to the day’s activities and may make a great time-out between bouts of Cosplay Chess or cheering on your favourite competitor.

The Supanova Cosplay Festival is on 10am to 6pm, Saturday the 27th November, at the RNA Showgrounds in Brisbane with tickets on sale through Ticketek RIGHT NOW!

‘TEKKEN’ Exclusive Theatrical Screenings

You’ve played it in the arcade…
You’ve played it in your home…
Now the No.1 fighting game is a major motion picture…

TEKKEN
Survival is no game

Rising from the ashes of a crumbled civilisation, gladiatorial combat has replaced warfare and ruthless fighters pit themselves against one another in a bid for global supremacy.

The year is 2039 and the world wars have destroyed everything. Territories are no longer run by governments, but by corporations. The mightiest of which is TEKKEN. In the midst of the ruined society, one warrior rises from the streets. A young man with street smarts and raw fighting skills who is driven by nothing more than vengeance for the murder of his mother. To exact his revenge he must defeat the world’s most elite fighters in the greatest tournament ever known and become the “King of Iron Fist”.

Exclusive screening for Supanova Members!
Anchor Bay Entertainment and Supanova Pop Culture Industries are giving you and a friend the chance to see Tekken on the big screen before it is released on DVD and Blu-ray November 10.
