Comic Makers Bloom with the Banksia Project: Apply Now

Are you a woman trying to break into the Australian comic book scene?

Petrie Press, in partnership with Supanova, presents the Banksia Project: an amazing new opportunity for emerging female comic creators to hone their convention skills in 2016.

The selected emerging or developing creator/s will receive Supa-Star status at each Supanova Expo this year. The initiative includes:

  • Coaching and support from Supa-Star and Platinum Ledger Award winning creator and publisher Alisha Jade
  • A guest table at Supanova located in The Alley, free of charge
  • Appearance promotion through Supanova's social media channels
  • A guest page on Supanova's website, and
  • Inclusion in the Event Programme.

The pressure of exhibiting at a large convention can be daunting and The Banksia Project aims to remove those pressures through its initiative. This is an incredible chance to gain experience and skills in a vibrant, supportive environment and is the first initiative of its kind.

Get Ready for the 'Third Impact'!

The next chapter in the rebuild of Evangelion finally arrives!

After the 'Third Impact', Shinji awakens to an existence he does not recognise. Earth lies in ruins. Those he once fought valiantly to protect have cruelly turned against him. With Rei nowhere to be seen, could his efforts to save her have been in vain - and what friendships can he now rely on? Trapped in a harrowing cycle of death and rebirth, Shinji continues to courageously battle the Angels.

This release comes with a deluxe 56 page booklet and slipcase and is available in stores now on DVD and Blu-Ray.

In The House is Back!

In The House Cult Classics is back at Event Cinemas George St. The next classic instalment is perhaps one of the greatest films of the 1980s; the teen angst drama that touched a generation of rebellious youth appealing to so many: Breakfast Club with Molly Ringwald. Every Character in the film relates to someone somewhere in our lives. This is one you shouldn't miss! See our very own David "Quinny" Quinn introduce the films with Jason "Jabba" Davis from Ch 7. It's a classic mix of films at In The House. Don't miss out on a great night out with an In The House movie experience. Watch the reel for Season 4 to see what else is screening: http://on.fb.me/1XyloZR
